To give it a personal touch the album opens with Number One, an original track composed a few years ago especially for the Magic Platters.
A composition which gives off a very 1960s Motown feel.

Ecoutez-le séance tenante pour avoir une idée claire des Magic Platters.
Tous les classiques du groupe sont là mais ils ont subi un très beau lifting.
En terme de métier, on parle de nouveaux arrangements.

Pas d’inquiétude, vos hits préférés des Platters ne sont pas passés à la moulinette du punk ou du hard rock.
Ce nouvel habillage respecte l’esprit et la lettre des fifties: style, classe, élégance et glamour.
Et puis, comme on le dit par ailleurs dans ce dossier, les Magic Platters ça bouge bien aussi.
La preuve par leurs versions de Twist and Shout des Isley Brothers ou de What’d I say de Ray Charles. On en viendrait presque à se mettre sur son 31 avant de le glisser dans le lecteur, ce CD.
